Ritu Moni Bio
Ritu Moni, a Dogra native, is an outstanding all-rounder who was coached by Muslim Uddin, who established a sports camp in their hometown for young girls and boys.
Moni made her ODI debut against Pakistan on August 20, 2012, which was nine years ago. She did not get on the wickets chart while serving as an all-rounder, but she impressed everyone with her batting skills in a 23-run stint. On August 28th, 2012, she played her first T20I match against Ireland, a week later.
She was named in the squad for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia after a string of impressive performances in the 2018 T20 World Cup qualifiers and 2019 Women’s Asia Cup. Moni’s desire to compete in the prestigious tournament was fueled by the sudden death of her childhood coach, Muslim Uddin. Moni had a career-high four for eighteen in the semi-finals loss to New Zealand.
Moni is a destructive lower-order batsman with the willow, but he has had limited opportunities to bat in the T20s.
